Dorothy Haskell, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing clinical services to children and adolescents at Children's Advocacy Services. Mrs. Haskell received her Master's degree in Social Work from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. In her position at CASGSL, Mrs. Haskell sees individual clients who have been exposed to various types of trauma, including sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, and traumatic loss and conducts group therapy for caregivers of adolescents with illegal or inappropriate sexual behaviors. She also provides supervision for graduate level interns and serves as a faculty member for the Missouri Academy of Child Trauma Studies, providing training and consultation in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). Mrs. Haskell has received training by national experts in TF-CBT, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Integrated Treatment for Complex Trauma, and utilizing Problem-Based Learning approaches to developing clinician’s use of the core concepts of child trauma in assessment. She served on an expert panel for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and participates in national journal discussion groups on a regular basis. She enjoys working with children and youth of all ages.
